Getting Started with Element

If this is your first time using the platform, then have no fear - the ELEMENT team are here!

(yes, we like to rhyme as we go).

To get you up and running in the shortest time possible, we've put together this quick guide to getting around. You'll be flying in no time.

If you're looking for a specific help article, simply search for specific topics in the Help Portal search field.

How to Get Around

The Homepage will serve as the primary channel to your work. So we designed the interface with one thing in mind

Get to your work in 3 clicks or less.......

Similar to a house, the Homepage is made up of sections (above):

  • A. Add/Manage Panel

  • B. Overview Panel

  • C. Support Panel

  • D. Recently Accessed Objects

  • E. My Task List

Lets break these down individually.

Here, you can create new work and access existing work. We can split this up into 2 parts:

  1. ADD Button '+' - Opens the Add Menu and lets you add new objects.

  2. MANAGE Button - Opens the Manage Menu and lets you view and update existing objects.

If you need help in any way, shape or form, then this panel is a tribute to all things support related.

1. The Global Search Function

Search for Tasks, Projects or Portfolios that you have access to.

2. The Notifications Inbox

You'll be alerted with new messages, updates and system notifications.

3. The Help Portal

Clicking this accesses our Help Portal. Here, you can find our guides (like this one!) and other online material.

4. Contact the ELEMENT team!

Contact our team directly with any feedback or suggestions.

5. Your Profile

You're not just another robot in the system ......Well you aren't, but technically your profile is.

So to make things feel more real, you can setup your personal profile and update your account.

Think of this as a set of tools you can use to see all the work you've set up or have access to in the system.

The Overview panel is made up of the following:

1. Reports Portal – Depending on your access level, you’ll find a number of different summary reports here. This is aggregation at its finest.

2. Admin Portal - Admins can use this space to set up the company, create roles, manage access and a whole lot more.

3. Dashboard - This is your space. Customise it with widgets to display the info that you need to stay ahead of the game.

We know work can become repetitive. So smack bang in the center of the Homepage, you can access whatever you were recently working on, without having to dive into the depths of the abyss....

So that's it. You can be sure to pass through the Homepage sooner or later - this will quickly become a familiar place to navigate from.
